My kid is going to take some classes at the local CC this fall, and 2 of them (in his major) are on-campus. It's only 1 course each 8-week term, 2 nights a week, and I think he's actually looking forward to not having everything online. A mix is about right for him. 3 classes online, 2 on campus.
It will also give him some access to a professor, and if the prof is any good, my kid will definitely be looking to gain some insight and possibly even get a LOR, and an internship. Some things are easier done in person.
