Done in June 2022

Done!
I finally made it across the finish line. I graduated in June 2022 with a BS Tech Studies degree, from TESU. Here are the courses I had to complete for my degree:
1.      PHI-285 Ethics (Study.com)
2.      POS-282 Comparative Politics (Study.com)
3.      ENC-102 English Comp II (TESU) (initially, my advisor did not include this as a GenEd requirement; however, 10 months into my enrollment and studies, she sent me an email stating I will have to take this additional course; she apologized for her earlier oversight)
4.      STA-201 Statistics (Study.com)
5.      MAN-435 Project Mgmt (Study.com)
6.      SOS-110 Capstone (TESU)
7.      APS-401 Cornerstone (TESU)
I paid the Residency Waiver fee to TESU.

What I found is the sense of satisfaction of completing a college degree is paramount to all other benefits. At this juncture, in my adult life, the degree itself will not contribute much to an increase in wages or promotions. Rather, it will be the pleasure one gets from having completed a life-long endeavor. There has always been a nagging, back-of-the-mind feeling for not having completed a college degree. Dare I say a sense of shame, at times compounding to a feeling of inferiority among others who were highly educated was particularly burdensome. Breathing a sigh of relief and having pride in the accomplishment is what is most valuable today. This degree affords me the peace of mind for having finally crossed the finish line.

For those in the process, the most important advice is to stay persistent. Do not give up and do not procrastinate. You can do it.

The usual people need to be thanked for helping me throughout the process: @bjcheung77, @dfrecore, @ss20ts, @rachel83az, a couple of others who are no longer on this board and the many others who contribute to the forum. Your insight into my specific issues and your responses to others helped me greatly in achieving this degree. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your advice.

I’m considering starting the master’s degree in Cybersecurity at WGU (MSCSIA). So, I’ll be frequently monitoring the Graduate School Discussion board.

Thanks again to everyone.
