If I recall that discussion about the lab requirement it was an owl pellet, not owl feces. A member here on this forum had to get alternative labs due to medical reasons where it didn't matter which end it came from.

Owl pellet is not the feces of the owl. It's the spit out from mouth of bones, fur etc that could not be digested.

Had to do that lab once in middle school and it wasn't nearly as gross as it sounds not matter which end it came out of. Certainly less gross that whatever the vultures left behind on my sidewalk the other day. anyway..

just a side track for lifelong learning adventures that I was reminded of from this thread even if no one takes the UMPI class since it's still as overall bad as before for all kinds of reasons (not just pellets)
