I think this was discussed here in 2021, but I can't find the thread. Honestly, I don't see the problem as long as the professor was properly compensated during his or her lifetime. IIRC, at least one of the professors for the ASU Universal Learner classes is dead. I don't think the professors receive royalties for the use of the lectures while alive, so continuing to use them (as long as the material is good) is fine to me. Of course, that opens up a whole new can of worms on whether professors SHOULD get royalties for the continued use of online/on-demand course material that they create.
