Welcome to the IC-Forums!
I do not know just how many classes you are looking to "test out of" and it looks as though you have opted to start with Marketing, but if you have a choice then perhaps you migt want to start with something more simplistic such as Intro to Sociology? Granted the Marketing exam is not the toughest exam out there but I wouldn't say that it is the easiest, perhaps moderate and that after getting some exam experience too.
As for exam preparation, the IC flashcards are designed to allow the student to learn and memorize concepts, terms, definitions, as well as people, places, and things in a direct and simplistic manner (see the 5R's below). To test your skills and ability to pass an exam a series of practice exams are available either online from Petersons or from books/cd-roms from REA.
Your first exam should be a triumph if you select the right topic for you, study well, and use the correct study materials - Good Luck!
