My sons have taken a ton of CLEP using the REA guides. The guides were wonderful except for the College Algebra. The REA Calculus guide was a little weird even though my sons have quite the background in mathematics. They ended up using some youtube videos that explained things a lot better than the REA guides, and they scored their highest score on the College Algebra CLEP.
That said, I have no idea how the CLEP Calculus using the REA guides would work because that is one of the few that they did NOT exams they did not take. We bought our REA books from Amazon. I see the Calculus book is available there now, but a little pricey @ $35 for the book or $15 for the download. My sons had no problem passing any exams using the REA, but they used Modern States videos and the free voucher available there too. Youtube has a ton of videos for the Calculus CLEP. I would search at least any problem topics and watch for review. Sorry, I am no help on the Peterson tests. REA had 3 practice exams in every book that can be taken online, but are also located in the back of the books. The practice tests were always the most valuable part of the books.
