Calling all TESC students!!!

In TESC’s catalog it states that the Financial Accounting CLEP is worth 6 credits for ACC 101 and ACC 102. Those classes are Principles of Financial Accounting and Principles of Managerial Accounting. I have seen it stated in many locations that you need to take a class for Managerial Accounting – Why if the CLEP covers it, or am I reading things wrong?

Sounds like you have an old catalog. That's the way it USED to be in the good old days. The Financial Accounting CLEP of today specifically excludes Managerial Accounting and is now recommended for three credits instead of six. Having said that, if your catalog is current--TESC does things like award upper level credit for lower level classes and otherwise has arguably the most flexible requirements so it's not beyond the realm of possibility that they award six for what others only award three--but I suspect not.
