Anyone can take a dsst exam, though it started as a program for those in the military. Testing locations and more info can be found here: DSST - GetCollegeCredit.com You will find that some colleges/areas accept clep more then dsst and vice versa, so you may want to check with whatever college you want the credits to go to in order to see if they are accepted.
