I suppose it's to appease some random metrics. Like, TESU can say that (made up numbers) 82% of their Psych majors can get a score of 94% or higher on the Major Field Test. It doesn't matter to you individually, but it may matter to the school. That said, they're not doing anything to stop students from just guessing randomly when doing the test.
