I strongly recommend ACFTL exam. I took Reading section for Russian, but the structure of the exam is the same for all languages. You need to read ~15 short texts and answer 1 multiple choice question for every text. The exam is adaptive, is instantly graded, and ACE badge is issued automatically.

I'm intrigued by the ACFTL exam. How do they know what is your native language? Couldn't people just sign up for whatever language they choose? It seems like that is too easy and maybe not every college would accept ACFTL for college credit.

I don't think anyone said anything about your native language.  You can take an exam in ANY language that you want - as long as they offer it.  Each exam has multiple options, but not every language is offered - and not every language is available for ACE-recommended college credit, so check that carefully before you take any exams: https://www.acenet.edu/National-Guide/Pa...65f38bf0e1
