Purdue Global BSIT internship instead of capstone?

Yes, your time is worth something, but asking a few questions doesn't cost you a thing.  Taking a capstone MAY be a lot more work than an Internship, in which case asking some questions will prove to be very beneficial to you.

In a perfect world, you'll call them up, and the head of the Internship office picks up the phone and answers all your questions.

In the real world, they might tell you to wait till you're a student, then you can ask questions on how the program works.

I've seen people on here literally wait an extra year trying to argue back and forth with admissions so they can get that one last course to transfer in.  One person leads them to believe it will transfer, while another says no.

So that's why I'm a bit wary when people start adding uncertainty and extra steps to degree plans.

It is NOT a TRANSFER course.  They offer it as an alternative to the capstone.  All you have to do is contact them to ask what the rules are (i.e. can this be at the company you already work for?).  Here is the course description:

IT489: Bachelor's-Level Information Technology Internship
This course gives you practical job experience in the information technology field. The internship provides you with an opportunity to learn about the IT career field through practical, real-world experiences and mentoring from an IT professional. This experience will enrich your technology skills and provide a better understanding of the level of expertise needed to be successful in your career. Internships must be preapproved by the Dean prior to the start of the term.
