Purdue Global BSIT internship instead of capstone?

Hehe, just dramatization but I know how these schools love to play games.  I doubt it's going to be a straightforward process. GL

When you put it this, I agree, it's probably not worth the effort it would take to figure all of this out, and get it approved. I'll just stick to the capstone, thank you!

My daughter is at Purdue Global and is not experiencing any of this.  They haven't played any games, have been easy to work with, have given her the exact courses she's asked for, accepted more credit than we thought they would, etc.

If I'm in this program, I'm going to talk to them starting at the beginning of the process to see what the internship entails, and do it if possible.  There is NO downside to talk to them, and find out if it will work out for you.  Obviously you should get it in writing from the dean if possible.

There is a risk which is the time you spend to figure this all out considering your time is worth something.

Don't you still have to take 25% or 8 courses with Purdue?  Meaning if you transfer in Internship in place of the Capstone, this would just add 1 course you have to take with Purdue?

They are both worth the same number of credits, and you're not transferring it in - you are taking the Internship course instead of the capstone course, and it counts for residency.

Yes, your time is worth something, but asking a few questions doesn't cost you a thing.  Taking a capstone MAY be a lot more work than an Internship, in which case asking some questions will prove to be very beneficial to you.

I'm not sure why you're assuming the worst, without asking a single question?  It doesn't make any sense.  For some people, this is going to make more sense than the capstone.  It's worth asking about.
