I got my associates years ago, as it was the only real program available in my city. However, I also did it so that I could start earning an income immediately.
Are you an LPN/VN now? or are you going to nursing school for the first time?
I think I would get my associates, and then get some real nursing experience under my belt and then get my BSN....
But, depends on what you will do with the BSN. I never needed it and was able to make way more money without it, until recently. Now I have reached a "ceiling" of opportunity and moneys, and that is wh yI am going back now.
I am going to TESC where there are no clinicals if you are already an RN, and it is only about 12k for the BSN.
They way you are doing it.....possibly I would get all my co-reqs out of the way first, so I can concentrate on only the nursing, which you will need all your resources for anyway.
