EC Wants Me To Do 34 Credits Despite Having 100+ Credits

Update:

They miss the SOC 101 course by accident and concluded they'd accept 89 of my transfer credits. I saw my financial aid award there and wasn't impressed. Most of the financial aid would be in the form of student loans. I don't want to use any more student loans, especially not on a liberal arts degree.

So, I'm waiting to hear from NAU and will decide if I'll finish there or at UMPI. I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who tried to help me.

The financial aid package is based on the FAFSA, and that will apply to any school you go to.

I understand, but UMPI offered another federal financial aid grant (in addition to the Pell grant) than Excelsior. It's not a significant difference, but it's enough that pays for everything without using any federal student loans.
