If I was in your situation and looking at a specific Business or Communications program, I would recommend a PhD vs a DBA program. PhD is academic/research inclined and the DBA is more applied/professional - you can still teach, but generally at the Community College or undergraduate level... For myself, I don't get any tuition assistance/reimbursement from work, so I go the cheapest/easiest/fastest option. For you, I suggest a local school first, then choose a state/non-for profit, and lastly, if needed, a foreign or for profit school.
