English language proficiency for non-us students

In order to avoid TOEFL exam for EC im looking 9 RA university credits.

I was in that boat a while ago. I am working in the US on a work visa,  but I am neither a citizen nor a resident.

I researched a bit and found out getting 6-9 RA credits is going to cost me more than $1000. So I decided to go ahead and complete an accredited high-school program which will exempt the English language requirement at most colleges.. I found that Pennfoster high school is both RA and NA and costs about $1000 - $1500 depending on the promotion going. Long story short, I took some time but eventually completed it for under ~1200.

If you want to try this route, Pennfoster high school is available globally. My son is outside US and he is doing this now. If you are determined and have the time, the whole diploma can be completed in 6 months or less I believe.
