Using straighterline for Teacher Cert in NY

• I’m trying to get certified in NY. The department of Ed evaluated my transcripts and said I was missing credits in the core liberal arts. Essentially I need 30 credits in:        1. Artistic Expression  (I was thinking of taking Intro to Art history in Sofia)2. Communications3. Foreign Language (this one is a struggle I have never take a foreign language class)4. Written Language and Expression 5. History and social studies (I’m currently working on US History 1 on straighterline)6. Math (my biggest nightmare) 

I have two questions.

1. Any recommendations for courses to complete these requirements? 
2. Does anyone know if I can submit the ACE transcript directly to the NY Department of Ed or if I have to enroll in a community college and get them to send a transcript? I’m uncertain about this because I’m not working toward a degree.
