And BTW - plenty of people have never heard of ASU. We tend to assume that people know lots of schools, but they don't. Most people know like 10-20, and generally they are big name Ivies, a few others, and a few locals. Outside of that, they don't know and don't care.
ASU offers more than just English Comp. Duh.
And if you're trying to go to a school that isn't one of the big 3, having an alternate way to get at least some of your credits relatively cheaply without resorting to alternative forms of credit, like SDC, Saylor, etc. is important.
Also, most schools care very much where you took English comp from or else everyone would accept ACE credits.
