That’s true and worth taking into consideration. That said, I don’t know if I want to take a bunch of TECEP’s for classes I don’t need in order to avoid the residency waiver. I have Tuition Assistance but it only covers 4 classes from TESU per year so it’s not worth waiting to use TA to cover the classes I have not yet tested out of.

They are the TESU version of CLEP’s. There are some overlaps with other sources of alternate credit.

So TESU will count that as credits taken through them?

Yep!  They typically cost $150 for a lower-level course.

I just asked my advisor this question - he said: "TECEP exams do not count towards the 16 credits needed to avoid the Credit Hour Residency waiver fee though". Thought this may be helpful.
