This screws up everything beyond all belief. First of all my college wants a score of a 68 to clep out of any language fully but just to clep out of one class is a 50 vs the high 40's other colleges require. Worst yet this weird above and beyond credit requirement means I have not been able to find any colleges around me I can transfer the credits in. They simply will not take them because the credit numbers do not match up. The only college they will take is Rio but since they are out of state its almost 1000 dollars a class. I only have this stupid requirement left and I don't want to take out another loan to finish. My college wants around 7000 dollars just to take these four high credit courses at their institution. I really don't want to take out another loan for this. I don't mind any solutions involving more money but certainly don't want to pay that much. Aside from the money it will take a full flipping year just to take 4 classes. They don't offer any accelerated options like other colleges. Rio does not offer accelerated besides the fact you can work through the holidays. Is there anything I am missing? Maybe another college that will transfer in with accelerated options?

16 sequential credits is a big deal - I don't see how it can be done in only ONE year, but we can't get into the time machine. 68 is high. Do you have any foreign language exposure or are you starting from scratch? I ask because there are a few ways to get through it, but all of them count on you telling me you're fluent but without credit. If you're starting from scratch, dude, I have nothing.
I can't copy/paste the table here, but I have a table on my blog that shows the skills for each of the for-credit options (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and which tests will test on various things. https://homeschoolingforcollegecredit.co...ge-credit/

This part I can copy/paste, these are the main credit by exam options for foreign language- prices are higher now.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT: Languages – Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, and Spanish. Tested on – reading, writing, listening and speaking (this is the only exam that tests ALL 4 AREAS, making it the hardest exam of the bunch). Credit awarded: 0-16 based on language and score (only Chinese is worth 16, most max out at 8). Some colleges award zero credit, but award “advanced standing” in the language. The score is reported on an official College Board transcript. Cost $92 AP Exams

ACTFL WRITTEN: Languages- Albanian, Arabic, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish. Tested on- reading and writing only (no listening or speaking). Credit awarded 2-12 based on the score. The score must be recorded on your ACE transcript. Cost $70 Written exam

ACTFL ORAL: 50+ languages. Tested on- listening and speaking only (no reading or writing). Credit awarded 2-12 based on the score. The score must be recorded on your ACE transcript. Cost $139 Oral Exam

CLEP: Languages- French, German, and Spanish. Tested on- reading, listening, and speaking only (no writing). Credit awarded 6-9 based on the score. Note – students who took this exam before October of 2015 may be eligible for more credit since that version was worth 6-12 credits at the time. The score is reported on an official College Board transcript. Cost $80 CLEP Exam

NYU-FLP: 50+ languages (see list below). Tested on – reading, writing, and listening (no speaking). Credit awarded 12-16 depending on the score. The score is reported by letter to your designated recipient. This exam is not ACE evaluated, but many colleges will still award college credit. In cases where no college credit is granted, the score report can still verify proficiency with employers/resume. Cost $300-$400 NYU Exam

EDIT TO ADD that I just got through the thread and I see you're starting from scratch. 99% of the time I would NEVER tell someone at the end of their degree to transfer, however, you're NOT at the end of your degree. You're 4 sequential semesters away from your degree- the number of credits doesn't matter in the regular way, you're talking about taking part 1 then part 2, etc. and for that long of a sequence, you would do better transferring. If you had a unique major, might be better to stay put. If you really were 1 semester away, better to stay put. If you had a special license requirement, better to stay put. You have a history degree- one of the ones that you could EASILY do through Thomas Edison. If I were in your shoes, I would pay $75 for the application and forward your official transcripts to TESU - get an unofficial evaluation and post it here. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. My best guess is that you are 1 semester from graduating from TESU and 1 1/2 years from graduating at your current school.

Well, technically if I started right this second I could do rolling 8week classes and be done by Feb. Professors allow you to finish before 8weeks as well but I don't know how possible that is.

I could just change my major to the I give up major of a Interdisciplinary studies as well.
