My understanding is that he'll have to take more than one course to qualify for enrollment since he has no work experience in programming or IT.
He initially wanted to do an expensive local bootcamp which promised the moon, employment-wise. While they might well get him a job, I feel he'll have to do something like this ultimately anyway, if not straight up CS, plus I want him to take something cheaper until he's sure about it.
