I know this post is a little older, I just had to chime in.

I've run into the same type of attitude. My political viewpoints are likely very different from yours. And if you and I were in a class and you made a comment I disagreed with, I would say so, and why. Our discussion might even get heated, but it should never be rude.

I respectfully disagree with you Cinderly. You should never "suck it up".
