Excelsior Ethics courses

I was told by my Excelsior advisor that if I take either one of the following courses that I will be able to knock out both of my ethics and written English requirements at the same time. I am thinking of doing it to get the most bang for my buck. 
Has anyone taken either of these 8 week courses and was wondering if there was any feedback about them. 

• COMM 335 Ethics in Communication
  
  
• BNS 301 Ethics and Diversity in National Security
