I could've sworn someone just asked this, but no, quizzes do not count towards your overall grade. The only things that get graded are the unit exams and the final. They weigh a little differently per each course since there's a different amount of units in just about each course.
You just need a 70% or higher overall, which comes from the unit exams and the final. When you start a course there's a "What You'll Need" tab before Unit 1, and it will tell you what the weight of each unit exam is, as well as the weight of the final
