You can transfer in way more than 120, they just show up as "other courses" on the transcript. Only 117 will count toward the degree and you'll always have to take the capstone. It's very rare anyone will have exactly 120 credits - especially if you transfer from another school, changed your major or took classes that just don't fit anywhere. Some people will even take extra courses if they know they will be needed as prereqs for grad school. They may not be needed for TESU, but still beneficial to take them and get them on an undergrad transcript.
