I find it interesting that even after the student provided reference material proving her facts, the teacher didn't even bother to do some basic due diligence first before responding to reinforce the bad information.
Given it escalated to the news and will cause a PR nightmare for the school in regard to the credibility of their staff, I suspect that teacher is going to have some hard questions to answer.
