Is there a reason for us to believe that the study.com/tesu partnership offering of the comprehensive tuition plan at $6350 will not continue past 6/30 ?
If that is the case, and I'm not able to enroll by the deadline, does that imply I'll have to bank the 9820U$ for the out-of-state tuition ?
Also, does anyone know if I can enroll for a comprehensive tuition plan by 6/30 and have my annual tuition temporarely 'paused' or put on hold (I'm unsure of the exact term here), so that in the mean time I can get all the general education and prerequisites done and then 'start' my comprehensive tuition year ?
All of that just to take advantage of the study.com/tesu comprehensive tuition partnership at 6350U$ vs 9820U$ for out-of-state students.
Let me tell you what happened with the TESU/Study.com pricing when it started, and then you can decide.
When they first announced the partnership, TESU said they would give 10% off of the residency waiver, which was $2000 at the time. So that would have been a $200 discount. But instead of stating that, they stated that the residency waiver pricing will be $1800 ($2000-$200). Then, they increased the residency waiver price to $2500 a few months later. So, what would have been a 10% discount off of $2500 ($2250) turned into a 28% discount, since they had stated it as a price rather than a percentage off. I'm imagining that TESU will be increasing the residency waiver at some point around 7/1 (normally when they do that type of change), and that they will be giving a percentage off of that new price, and it will be a LOT more than $1800.
Then, they also said that they would give in-state tuition pricing for both comprehensive and per-credit tuition plans. Again, they stated a price rather than a %. So, even after the tuition for both was raised, they had to stick to the stated discounted price.
So you decide - are they going to stick to a stated price, or this time around, are they going to say something like "10% off the current price" for the residency waiver.
And even if they say 10% off and in-state tuition pricing, the prices will likely go up, they do almost every year.

Regarding gen eds, you do not have to take those before you take your core/AOS courses. I would do as many as possible now, including Calc I & II which you will need before you can take some other math courses, and anything else that may be a prereq for other courses. But then on the first day of the term where you're starting the comprehensive tuition plan, I would say that you should stop your Gen Ed's (plan to be done already) and start your courses.
That will probably be the August term, since the July term will start on July 2nd, but you will have had to register for classes by mid-June. So assuming that you apply in late May, send an ACE transcript then, and then enroll in the comprehensive plan on June 26th (I would do it a few days early just in case some kind of glitch happens), you then will "start" your enrollment in Tesu in the August term, and should be finished by July of the following year. So be ready to go with your TESU courses by August 6th (I think), registering for them after you're enrolled on 6/30.
That gives you 6 full months from today to complete as many Gen Ed's as possible. I would enroll at Study.com now and get going! And start that Calc I class immediately as well.
