I would have spent more money on 4 credits than 27 any day if they BOTH completed the degree. My time is more valuable at my age than money in many ways.
In general 5 courses that can be done for $100 each are going to be FAST! Whereas 3 $1500 courses are going to be online courses that will take somewhere around 3 months apiece. So even in this instance, time AND money is going to be less.
In many degree fields finding cheap exams is not even available. That is the case in the HSEM degrees and many other specific or technical degrees.
Folks should apply to all three of the Big 3 as only the official college will confirm how much is left and then they can try to figure out shortcuts, faster, cheaper, and or direct routes. There are many factors to what is "best" and money is just one limited factor. Exams/tests often limit your degree choices.
