Hey everyone, thought I'd make a journey thread.
Long story short, I joined here trying to help my daughter with a plan to get a degree with no debt. She's currently a dual-enrolled high schooler taking CC classes so for now she is set.
Then I thought "why not me!?!" I knew of Regents College many years ago when they reviewed my transcripts, but that was the dark ages pre-interwebs. I got on with life until recently when I figured I ought to get this done!
I was a Psych major all those many years ago (1985-88) but now I want to get a degree in English. I have taught homeschooled middle and high schoolers literature and composition for years and I love it. Now I want the degree to go along with it.
Here's the catch:: My original credits (all but 6) are from a QUARTER school. Ugh. I had my eval done when I applied to TESU and sent my transcripts. They uploaded them in very weird spots, and also gave me 3 credits per class. I also, at the time, thought I would do a BALS-Humanities degree. SO, the next thing to do is take a TECEP and get enrolled so that I can get my records all straightened out.
In the meantime, I have made my own spreadsheet and slotted my credits in where I understand they likely fit. Would anyone be willing to take a look at let me know? If I have done this right I will have my Gen Ed complete except for the A&I lit that I want to take soon that will 1/2 fulfill Info Lit and 1/2 in my AOS. If this is correct I will only have my AOS to focus on and then some free electives.
I appreciate anyone willing to double check this for me!
