Full time position without bachelors in my work place is ~34-36k.
Full time entry position with bachelors in my work place is 40k.
Most jobs i've seen request at least a bachelors now for 40-56k starting this is for non IT jobs.
Im rushing to get my bachelors cause i need to either switch to full time or get the job i want. Its also a check mark i need to finish. I'm tried of being looked down on at work or everywhere because I don't have a degree. Its also depressing to not be considered a position because you dont have a degree though you have the experience. I was even told that without my bachelors i would not be considered at all so its something i need to get done. So now its time for me to put in my work to get my degree to get that checked off.
I heard during jury duty the judge went around asking everyone whats their highest level of education and you would have to say it out loud in front of 30-50 people.
I attended many trainings/meetings at work and most of the time they go around saying their position when i mentioned my position (people without a degree). I was looked down on by people. I dont want to feel that way again to be belittled by people or be in a situation where the discussion of my education puts me down.
That's my motivation.
