A bit lost and need some advice/help thanks!

I could be mistaken and I am not trying to frighten you. However, I THINK I read ALEKS certification has already expired. ALEKS expired June 30 not the end of this month- July.

Jennifer, aka Cookderosa, seems to be our local expert on this. According to her post here (2nd post from the top)http://www.degreeforum.net/showthread.ph...570&page=2, ALEKS has already expired and anything done from this point forward, will not provide you with a math course from an accredited entity, UNLESS... ALEKS becomes certified again by ACE.

Hopefully, you chose a free trial of ALEKS. If you have not paid for a month, why would you risk it? What if they do not become certified again? What if it takes months? Are you going to pay $20 per month for an unknown number of months for something you may not be able to use for credit?

If you want to improve your math skills, there are several good FREE options. Khan Academy is awesome! Why not give it a try? Once you have become proficient, consider taking a CLEP or DSST or Saylor.org. As far as I know, Saylor only considers their proctored exams as your final grade for the course. Each course has an associated unproctored exam which you can use to gauge your knowledge. Then you can take the proctored exam with either uProctor or a certified librarian. My local library doesn't charge for proctoring, so theorically, every Saylor course is free to me. That's a lot of courses. Check them out.
