If you go for the harder CS degree, you will probably have more and higher-paying options in the future. It seems really worth doing, if you can handle the math (and it will probably cost more, since IT has the cheap WGU options). However, the IT degree would probably take less time, so you could finish quicker. But if you get the IT degree, I would bet you see many jobs that really prefer the CS degree
