Cleps really are hard. This is not an opinion, it's a fact. The only thing that makes them do-able is that you only need a 50 to pass - but if you get a 49? You have to wait to re-take it. There are a lot of cleps that are possible to pass going in cold - but then, you just may get some hard questions and get a 49, and you just wasted your time and your money..
You don't understand the definition of the word Fact.
sarg123 Wrote:If you are good at a subject, it will be easier. That's also a fact. Some people are good at interpreting literature, and they will find A&IL easy. Alot of people do find it hard, maybe they don't come on this forum and boast about it, but they do. Someone who just aced high school math might be able to take the Math clep cold, someone who always struggled with math and/or is quite a few years out of high school will not pass this test cold. Somebody who's worked in the corporate world will find Management relatively easy, someone who's still in high school might find it much harder. Macro and Micro are two tests that are hard for everyone. I can go on and on, but you get the idea.
Too, bad for you that I'm a science person and I passed A&I cold. Many people passed tests that were subjects that they didn't like. And a lot of people find A&I hard? If you're not basing it on the forum, then what are you basing it on? What data are you using? I haven't worked in the corporate world, and I found Management easy. There are hundreds of people who found Management easy. In fact it's known as one of the easiest CLEP tests- so you can stop going on and on because you're wrong.
sarg123 Wrote:When I took the cleps that I took, I studied an average of a few days each. But it was two or three solid days, not just an hour a day. Also, they were the easier cleps. I did not attempt macro or micro.
Well that's what people write about doing for Straighterline and Study.com, and their posts about doing so are there for anyone to read; but of course, THAT doesn't count. You see people- the thing that makes CLEP cumbersome for these people is the thing that makes Study.com and Straighterline the best ever. The only difference is that with CLEP you're studying concepts, not hastily using the search function to look up terms that you'll forget two days later.

I'm not personally against cleps, just that it's definitely not a one size fits all option. Also, SL and study are cheaper, at least in my neck of town.
Clearly you didn't read the Specific Feedback Section, because if you did, you would know that a lot of other people found the tests to be not hard.
