I've taken this thread to heart, and studied on it.
I think I will take a middle approach to sig lines:
I don't think a naked line is appropriate. New people should put their goals down there in a single sentence, so that people can quickly see what they want, and focus their answers to them based on that. I'd answer a question from a dabbler in learning different than a person who has a few degrees and is looking for something quickly.
People that have been around awhile should list what they are familiar with. I'm not certain posting scores is beneficial to me, the viewer, but I see several sides. If I were hot stuff, I think I (definitely the younger me) would flaunt it. It also helps to evaluate the information presented by that person.
Here is my first stab at a sig line here. I find it too drab and perfunctory; I bet Sheldon would approve. lol But I think it says enough about me that people won't have to dredge through my posts to learn more just to evaluate a thought or post I make. Thoughts?
