DSST: Health and Human Development vs. Straighterline Nutrition 101
#7

Definitely Straighterline!! I started the course yesterday and will finish this afternoon. So Straighterline total will be around 1 1/2 - 2 days versus studying an entire week, lots of hours per day for the DSST. And I have the final, proctored exam scheduled for Monday. Of the total points available to earn in the course, which is 1,000, I will only need to answer 13 out of 63 problems on the final correctly to earn a passing grade. Totally doable. With multiple choice, I am guaranteed 25% just by guessing so won't need to spend additional time studying for final.

I wouldn't NOT recommend buying the textbook/ebook. Total waste of money! It costed $71 and I didn't even open the book one time. Save the money and don't buy ebook.

Also, if you google coupons for Straighterline, you can get $49-$29 off. So if I wouldn't have bought the silly ebook, I could have completed the course for $99 because I found a coupon for $49.

But, here is the cool thing. Since I'm already paying the $99 subscription, I added another course I needed, US History I, for only $29 with a coupon.

So the total for two courses, taken and passed in two day each:

$99 - 1 month subscription
$0 - Nutrition 101 (coupon code for $49)
$29 - US History (coupon code for $20 off)

TOTAL for two courses: $128

So it makes each course approx. $64 and completed in 4 days. AWESOME!

Congratulations!!

If you want to try a 3rd or 4th before your month runs out, my sons did Religion and Business Ethics in 3 weeks doing about 1 test per day. They had the ebook but you could probably get by without for those two.
They are doing microbiology now - it's much harder (not terrible) to find the right answers, and they have the textbook / ebook.

Edit to add: here are all the SL codes I have written down.
