My two cents:
If you're talking 20 or 30 degrees, I'd say yes, it could be a psychosis. If the diagnosis is confirmed, that means you've had a serious break with reality. Get treatment - fast.
If you're talking, say, half-a-dozen degrees, give or take - then it's likely not. It could sometimes be considered a neurosis, which is much less serious.
In that case, go for it. My experience is that people who appear completely non-neurotic are quite rare, and usually less interesting.
