For anyone who is committed to paying cash only, the speed of your plan is not only affected by how quickly you can get through a course/study for an exam, but also cost. I always had to work within our family's budget to come up with another $100 to pay for a course or exam, and it wasn't possible to do every single month.
The residency waiver PLUS the $1,500 Capstone (even with the full Pell Grant they would allow for 3 credits, which is a little over $300.00) is still around $3,200 OOP, then add the graduation fee -- that total is definitely a significant amount of cash for many of us.
