With apologies to anyone who is a big proponent of EFT, it's basically pseudoscience. No research has found any effectiveness beyond placebo effect. There's not much support for it among professional psychologist.
MBSR can sound a little wishy-washy as well if you're not keen on meditation, but it has decades of clinical research and is considered an evidence-based approach to dealing with acute stress. It's has specific structure and isn't considered a cath-all, cure-all like EFT tries to be. Meditation alone has a lot of proven benefits, and MBSR is essentially just a structured approach to meditation.
Some have claimed that MBSR can assist with disease prevention/curing, but there's no evidence for that and it's really beyond the scope of MBSR, and I think these claims damage the reputation a bit. Except I guess, lowered stress in general leads to better health... but really, MBSR wasn't established as trying to be a magic cure.
