I certainly don't want to set you in a new direction, but I took the written DANTES and had the following experience:
I did not know eveything going in...far from it.
I committed to learning Standard Deviation, Probability and Null/Alternate Hypothesis. These three made up 60-70 of the written test. I passed with a 61.
My rationale was that instead of stalling for three months trying to learn everything there is to know about Statistics....concentrate on the three or four areas that make up the lions share of the test, that will ensure a pass.
There is always the ECE Statistics test, that although it looks harder is an option if you don't pass the DANTES Statistics.
