Newbie needs help!

I'm not necessarily a huge fan of the AA if you already know that you want a BA, some people care, some don't. Since getting the AA won't do you any good at the job you are currently at, I personally wouldn't waste my time, and just go straight through to the BA.

I agree though, that you want to go to COSC as that's where you're FEMA credits will count. TESU doesn't accept them any longer.

I would say you should look at other links, and figure out the COSC degree plan, and start getting credits.

I think you need College Algebra at COSC, but you could start on ALEKS and work your way up from Beginning Algebra (through Intermediate Algebra to College Algebra), and get 9cr. It's only $20/mo.

Other than that, you can just start. We have a "beginners guide" on the fourm, which explains all of the different ways to earn credits. Decide which way you want to start taking the Gen Ed requirements, and begin!
