You may be right in that regard. I had to take speech for my associates before finding Excelsior. Funny thing is I had experience speaking in my job but the class still was a little hard on the nerves. It would probably be good for my kid to take it, but that's easy for me to say. My main concern was to keep him on a path he will finish. With no High School diploma a degree is even more important.

Sorry all, I don't mean to butt in and take away from the jovial nature of this thread...but can I ask why your son doesn't have a HS diploma? Homeschooling is legitimate in all 50 states, and a parent can create a transcript and diploma for their child. He can say that he graduated from HS and everything. Just curious, you've hit upon a peeve of mine (I homeschool my kids, so does cookderosa).
