Everyone in Congress worked with Robert Byrd. I guess you don't accept that people can change. I work at a prison as a substance abuse counselor. I have to work with convicted murderers, robbers, drug dealers, and wife beaters. If everyone had your mindset, no one would try to work with these people and rehabilitate them.

First, I never said people can't change. What I was alluding to is that his quote was pretty god dang awful -- and strong. And in about 100 weeks later he began his political career (or maybe earlier). I suppose it wouldn't make much sense for him to do anything but "reform". Yeah, color me a cynic.

Yep, those Mormons these days are horrible. Anyways, each of the Abrahamic religious texts have slavery, rape, racism, all sorts of juicy stuff. Most of this is ignored by 99% of the adherents (errr.....excluding some "organized extremist groups" as Hillary would put it).

And about this David Duke character -- you're right. Remember when Trump called Duke "a bigot, a racist, a problem"? He opted not to run on the third party ticket because it was associated with a politician that had verbal support from a racist. Yeah, Trump is totally into the white power vote. How big of a voting bloc do you think these white power folks are? And you think Trump is courting these losers so he can receive $0 from an obscure racist PAC (I assume you are referring to American National Trump SuperPAC)? Let's think this one through. Sure Trump is pandering to folks - give me a candidate that's not.
