I waited until the 2nd or 3rd to enroll in a May course (PLA-100, just for a GPA) so that I would be "sure" to be able to put the residency waiver to use but dodge the cornerstone, not because I think it would be difficult, but a cornerstone in this AOS just seems boring as hell -- just doing it would be cheaper.
Right now, it's still showing me as 'accepted' and still on the 15/16 catalog. The course is showing up on my evaluation as 'planned'. If the catalog changes out from under me now, and the cornerstone is required, I'll be seeking a refund for the PLA course as the cornerstone will satisfy the GPA requirement. The catalog can still change before my enrollment kicks in on May 10th, but going by what everyone has said, it won't be changing until May 24th.
I wouldn't say that having that cornerstone dodged is at all a guarantee right now though. They may be aware of this "loophole" and move to plug it before the start of the May term.
I believe simply registering for a TECEP in the May term will result in an enrollment The 10th day of the May term. I'm hoping that avoids the cornerstone.
