High_Order1 Wrote:Thanks for the welcome! The oral you can almost certainly obtain a waiver for COSC (and just about all colleges) will require English Comp 1 and 2. There are exams for these, or Straighterline Courses, or a combination of same. (I like SL Comp 1 followed by the DSST Technical Writing...probably be fastest way, COSC acceppts Technical Writing as English Comp 2). I don't believe you will find a regionally accredited college that wont require a 6 credit sequence in English Comp, this is almost certainly not crdit that a PLA or other alternative credit will satisfy.
I've taught across the country, but non credit. I taught two classes as an extension of the University of Tennessee, but I have no proof of that besides pictures.
Quick question -
I am looking at COSC's General Education requirements.
Would they consider any of my courses I listed in lieu of?
For example:
written and oral communication - I have a couple of instructor development classes. Wouldn't that cover the oral, and I've taken report writing several times, wouldn't that cover the written part?
Other than the Oral Waiver, I think you also meet the Social / behavioral Science requirement, but that's about it.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.
