Study.com is an alternative to some UExcels, but you don't get grades for them; also the number of credits, or UL/LL may be different. Here are the UExcel's that are expensive, and have study.com alternatives:
Anatomy & Physiology (LL for both, 3cr for study.com, 6cr for UExcel)
Microbiology (LL for both)
Abnormal Psychology (LL for study.com, UL for UExcel)
Lifespan Developmental Psychology (LL for both)
Obviously, there are additional alternatives for a lot of the UExcel via various methods (CLEP/DSST/SL, etc.).
The LL or UL is based on ACE recommendations, not on what they will be accepted by at various schools.
