I know what you mean. The kids started watching in 2008/9-ish. Then they did programming, and liked earning points.
Once Khan got lots of funding it turned into more of a zoo and branched out to teach multiple subjects. Now that it's all supposed to be Common Core aligned with bells & whistles it is apparently harder to just learn basics.
