The GRE is generally regarded as somewhat less quantitative than the GMAT, but even the GMAT's quantitative section (to my memory) doesn't require math skills beyond the high school level. They're quite similar otherwise, and neither are particularly difficult. The GRE is significantly cheaper than the GMAT and is accepted for a wider range of programs, including most business schools, so unless you have some interest in applying to a business school in the next 5 years, I suggest the GRE.
