He said that I can be as involved as I want to be but if he had it his way he would draft the article and then send it to me to review and edit and he would continue to make changes until we were both happy with it. I think I can pull off that much final semester so I'm thinking about. I did all the research for it already and sent him a summary of the research I did months ago for him to review so we have all of that covered. I also completed the survey draft and he made changes to it until we were okay with it. But we're going to wait until the beginning of the year to send it out because of Christmas break... probably not likely people on break will be very responsive.
He explained that he is moving and will be taking a sabbatical during the spring so his goal is to have the draft done by end of January. He will return to teaching somewhere else in the fall.
So I guess the fact that he's in the process of moving explains why things have been kind of touch and go which historically has been quite unusual for him.
Don't miss out on something great just because it might also be difficult.
