The MBA is a mile wide and an inch deep. It was originally designed for professionals who climbed the corporate ladder based on their tech skills to round out their business knowledge so they could effectively manage other functional units. It does not really aid a person in acquiring the skills needed to start a career where tech skills (not necessarily IT) are required. I think kids without work experience should be recommended against the MBA and should be recommended to pursue something more technical like a MS in Economy, Accounting, or Computer Science.
