The last thing their kids need is end up feeling they are underemployed when there were other options besides an early 4 year Liberal Arts college degree.
In my line of work I am around many different trades every day. I would push my children into a trade or the military any day! Maybe I am being selfish but I sure as heck don't want a 30 year old Liberal Arts major living at my house in my retirement years.
As far as hobbies go I think I am quite addicted to researching and buying/selling stocks. I spend a majority of my free time engaged in the market.. I may be a little OCD on this, but the free money keeps pulling me in (when I am doing well that is). It's legalized gambling! Here's a good tip: Buy Apple (AAPL) it's about to explode with the new watch and share buy back...
On another note I also like to shoot at the range and fish.
